A Note on NHS Provision
Lactation consultant support and tongue tie assessment and division are not consistently available on the NHS across all areas of East Sussex. Where NHS services do exist, waiting times can be significant and in the early weeks of a baby’s life, weeks matter enormously.
Private support means being seen quickly, by a specialist, with time and attention that NHS services however well-intentioned are often not resourced to provide. Many families tell me that booking a private consultation was one of the best decisions they made in those early weeks.
Is Cost a Barrier?
If you are experiencing financial hardship and cost is genuinely preventing you from accessing support, please reach out and speak to me directly. I hold a small number of reduced-rate appointments each month for families in need, and I would rather find a way to help than have a family go without support.
Everything discussed in that conversation will remain completely confidential.
